Team of Arhndt and Crededio have a day at Sturgeon Bay Presented by Bass Pro Shops/Cabela’s

Sturgeon Bay, WI, May 13th, 2019 – A “live by the sword, die by the sword” mentality is what Bob Arhndt (Peshtigo, WI) and Josh Crededio (Chicago, IL) brought with them as they took on all the field at Sturgeon Bay for the first event of the 2019 BPS/Cabelas North American Bass Circuit season.

When asked, many of the anglers that came across the stage to weigh fish Saturday at Wave Point Marina, said they pulled out everything they had, the boat looks a mess, but Bob and Josh were content with what they tied on Friday night in preparation for the tournament. Confidence ran high for this team already at the Friday night rules meeting.

Crededio is well known for passing on the “Big Fish” pot as he doesn’t want to cast any bad luck or “jinx” into his plans, but 2019 partner Bob Arhndt wasted no time as they approached the registration table throwing down the $50 dollars. If they could look into the future, they would have seen that investment was a wise decision. With a 6 lbs. 11 oz. smallmouth to cap off the event after they set 27 lbs. 4 oz. on the scale, they took home not only the tournament win, but sealed up a $500 bonus for “Big Fish”. Altogether, competitors brought in 77 fish weighing 312 lbs. 10 oz.

Arhndt and Crededio drive out of Sturgeon Bay with $4,900 in cash plus those coveted NABC Champions trophies. $2,300 of that for the 1st place win, $2,100 for their share of option pot #1 and $500 “Big Fish” bonus.

Rounding out the top three:

2nd Alan Neumann and Eric Valentine, 24 lbs. 5 oz., $1,200 cash

3rd Will Papa and Austin Felix, 22 lbs. 15 oz., $640 cash, $1,410 option-pot cash, $3,150 option-pot #2 cash

Overall the BPS/Cabela’s NABC awarded $12,260 in cash and prizes at Sturgeon Bay.
